Dolmans Landscaping Group remains sponsor of Team SD Worx-Protime for two more years

‘Cycling team success story runs in tandem with company growth’

Team SD Worx-Protime can count on the support of Dolmans Landscaping Group until 2027. The Dutch WorldTeam was founded 15 years ago by the Dolmans Landscaping Group. ‘The cycling team has become part of our company's DNA. The team's success counts as a metaphor for how Dolmans and now SD Worx have grown with it. For over a decade and a half we have been part of the best team in the world as a sponsor,’ said Claire Janssen, Chief Change Officer at Dolmans Landscaping Group.

With the extension, the Dolmans Landscaping Group remains loyal to the team started under the impetus of then CEO of the company, Erwin Janssen. Janssen, meanwhile, serves on the Supervisory Board at the Dolmans Landscaping Group and is CEO of Team SD Worx-Protime. ‘We are proud to remain involved as the founder of the team as a passionate sponsor for the next two years as well,’ says Erwin Janssen. ‘Dolmans is one of the most loyal sponsors in women's cycling. The efforts of the Dutch green company have helped make the growth of women's cycling possible. Dolmans stepped in at a time when women's cycling was not yet so popular. That they are still involved today in the ever-growing women's peloton as a strong sponsor shows that the company has grown tremendously in the Netherlands and Belgium.’

‘As a company, we are extremely proud to announce that we will be involved with Team SD Worx-Protime for an additional two years,’ said Claire Janssen. ‘There are many parallels to be drawn between the corporate world and the sports sector. Both our company and the cycling team started very small and took giant steps in professionalisation. The challenges are getting bigger and bigger, yet this team has remained number one in the world for eight years.  Just try to match that. To remain the best in the WorldTour ranking year after year as a team. That inspires and also reflects on our company. Our employees are proud of it. But it goes beyond that. When we started sponsoring the team 15 years ago, there were hardly any women working in our company. Now we have a nice balance.’

‘As a green business, thriving and growing is very important. Dolmans Landscaping Group has grown from a relatively local firm to a player operating throughout the Netherlands and much of Belgium. Dolmans achieves success as a close-knit family business. We do it together. That is something we also see at Team SD Worx-Protime. If you go through fire for each other, have fun together and go for a goal together, it works like a flying wheel. With my father Erwin Janssen, I took my first steps in marketing as a child during the team's cycling events for relations. It is great that the cycling team will still be part of our company's marketing policy until 2027,’ concludes Claire Janssen.
