Lorena Wiebes: ‘The feeling was good. It was a question mark how my legs would react after my altitude training camp, but I was able to go full throttle. It was a nice prologue and I'm glad it went that way. I chose to start early. If I didn't ride the fastest time, then I could go to the hotel earlier for recovery and massage. But luckily I managed to set the best time and was waiting in the hot seat, after which no one broke my time. It's a nice incoming after my altitude training."

"I am here for the final preparation for the Olympics. I spent three weeks in an altitude chamber and it was very hot in Spain. So it was a double question mark whether I would feel good right away. I hope it continues like this for the rest of this week. It tastes like more. Before the Olympics I want to try to win as many sprints as possible and maybe also the ITT of the Baloise Ladies Tour. I want to get everything out of it."
