Lorena Wiebes dominates the Simac Ladies Tour. The European champion wins another stage, making it four out of four. Wiebes was once again the fastest in the peloton sprint, claiming her 21st road victory of the season. She now has a 30-second lead over Megan Jastrab in the general classification. ‘It's really impressive that Lorena always finishes it off. It only motivates the riders even more to work for her,’ says sporting manager Danny Stam.

Lorena Wiebes on her fourth consecutive victory: "It's great that I managed to do it again. It didn't want to break today into echelons, but we had to stay alert. The team did a great job again. I'm very grateful to the girls. They protect me perfectly. It was a long sprint. There was a lot of headwind. Do I also have good time trial legs? We'll see tomorrow. At 10.2 kilometres, it's not such a long time trial, so I hope not to lose too much time. I don't want to give up this yellow jersey," said Wiebes.

Sports manager Danny Stam on the impressive performance of his star rider. "If you set Lorena up well, you can be almost certain she'll finish it off. People are starting to take it for granted that Lorena will win the sprint, but that's not the case. She is pure, unadulterated class. As a rider, if you can be so confident that your teammate will almost always finish it off, you push yourself even harder. So, kudos to them for always making sure it comes down to a sprint. That's not a given."

"Today was a pretty tough race", Stam continues. "It kept going on the side, but it just never really broke. That leads to a nervous day in the peloton where, as a rider, you have to pay attention every moment and motivate yourself over and over again to do well. If it doesn't break eight times and you don't pay attention at the front once, that could be the time it breaks. That's why these are gruelling stages. But in the end, everyone stayed together and it turned into a peloton sprint in which Lorena was dropped off where she needed to be. And just like the previous three days, she finished it off again."

"This is another great season for Team SD Worx-Protime. The fact that we now have 42 road victories is a statistic we can be proud of. But our focus is already on tomorrow's time trial stage. We are here with the goal of winning the overall classification of the Simac Ladies Tour with Lorena. The big time trial specialists are already behind. There is a 10.2-kilometre time trial to be ridden. I don't expect Lorena to lose too much time over that distance. We are going into tomorrow with confidence," concludes Stam.
