2024 will be Christine Majerus' last year as a professional rider, with the Olympics crowning her career. "I live in Paris. So I hope to qualify for the Summer Games in my last season.

I have made everything out of my career, have been able to experience several Olympics. But for this mega event to now take place in my hometown would be a fantastically beautiful end to my career. Although I will only stop at the end of the 2024 season anyway. After a lesser 2023 season for me personally, I am extra hungry to make the most of it in my final year."

Majerus will soon ride her eleventh(!) and final season for the Dutch WorldTeam. Sports manager, Danny Stam: "One last blast with Christine would be fantastic. She has been with the team as long as I have been team manager here. Christine is invaluable to Team SD Worx-Protime. Without her, this team would not be where we are today. She is a super rider from the second row, who can also win races herself. But she always sees the importance of the team. Few attach as much importance to that as our Luxembourg champion. She needs no guidance. She starts and then the rest jump in. Christine Majerus breathes the DNA of our team and is the foundation of Team SD Worx-Protime."

I like to show younger riders the way. That way I give something back to cycling, which has brought me so much beauty. I often put myself at the service of the team, but I can also ride for my own chances in various races.
