The Omloop Het Nieuwsblad is considered the start of the classic spring. With Lotte Kopecky, Demi Vollering, Lorena Wiebes, Elena Cecchini, Christine Majerus and Femke Markus, Team SD Worx-Protime comes to Omloop with a very strong line-up. After her strong solo last year, the back number one is for world champion Lotte Kopecky. "I haven't made a goal of this race, but I want to be there right away. I'm looking forward to this spring in the rainbow jersey. It will be special to ride the classics on home soil in the rainbow stripes," the world champion looks ahead.

Last Wednesday, Lotte Kopecky announced her loyalty to Team SD Worx-Protime until 2028. A few days later, her classic spring starts with the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. "This is not my main goal of the season. I mainly want to be top around April with the four-part Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Amstel Gold Race and Liege-Bastogne-Liege. But I do want to be there straight away on Saturday. We ride Omloop with a strong block. Yes, several riders in our team have a chance to win. That is our strength. It's give and take at Team SD Worx-Protime. I have no problem with that either. Otherwise I wouldn't stay with this team for another five years. I actually find it an added value that you can play different cards in a race."

"We make each other stronger. I have the advantage of being versatile and being able to play a role in multiple areas. For me, that is the key to success in this team. The short powerful efforts are the ones that suit me best. And those are precisely the efforts you need in the classic spring. So I make no secret of the fact that I want to take the most victories in the classics. Everyone knows I would love to add Paris-Roubaix to my palmares, but I just want to ride the best possible classical campaign. I'm riding a lot of races this season, but I like to race. Last year I also had a busy spring and it worked out well. Hopefully I can make it a nice season in the rainbow jersey."
