Team SD Worx-Protime concludes the Tour de France Femmes with two stage victories and success in the points classification through Lorena Wiebes. In the final stage, the 27-year-old Dutch rider secured the green jersey via the last intermediate sprint in Nice. In doing so, she won the green jersey at the Tour de France Femmes for the second consecutive year. After previously winning the polka dot jersey in 2022, the yellow and green jerseys in 2023, and the green jersey in 2025, this marks the fifth classification jersey in the Tour de France Femmes for Team SD Worx-Protime. “This is a successful Tour for us,” said Lorena Wiebes.
Lorena Wiebes: “It was a tough day on the Col d’Eze. I knew I had to stay with the group to be one hundred per cent certain of winning the green jersey. The intermediate sprint was therefore still important. I did not expect Demi Vollering to go for the intermediate sprint since her focus was on the overall victory, but I wanted to be one hundred per cent sure.
It has certainly been a successful Tour: two stage wins and two days in yellow and green. It was also a Tour with ups and downs for us, but the final balance is positive. The two stage victories were super nice. We almost got a third one with a strong solo attack by Lotte Kopecky. Unfortunately, we were not able to compete for the general classification with Anna van der Breggen, but we look back on a successful Tour de France Femmes.”
“How proud am I to win the green jersey two years in a row? It is an honour to ride in green. It is really special to win a jersey at the Tour de France. The whole team fought hard for it. I thoroughly enjoyed the Tour de France Femmes,” Wiebes concluded.
