Femke Markus finishes second in Eneco Tour

With the Eneco Tour, the 2026 road season has come to an end. Team SD Worx-Protime finished the year on a high note in the Dutch stage race. Femke Markus finished second in the general classification, after claiming a magnificent victory earlier in the week in the stage to Watersley. Nienke Vinke took home the best young rider jersey. “This is my first-ever final podium in a stage race. It is a wonderful way to finish the season,” said Femke Markus.

Femke Markus: “As a team, we delivered a great performance in the Eneco Tour. This podium finish is the result of all the hard work. I’m also happy to finish the season with a win in the third stage and second place in the general classification.”

“It is special to finish second in a stage race for the first time. It shows that I have been able to take steps forward within Team SD Worx-Protime. I am proud of myself and the team. I could not have imagined a better way to conclude this wonderful period with this team,” said Femke Markus.
